City of Smyer sets special meeting Wed.

The Smyer Board of Alderman will be holding a special meeting Wednesday, May 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Smyer Senior Citizens’ Building.

Items for the meeting include: Consider and take necessary action on building permits.

Consider and take necessary action to elect Mayor Pro-Tem.

Consider and take necessary action on Loan Resolution RUS Bulletin 1780-27, Approving USDA as the funding agency for the 2024 Water Systems Improvement Project; Authorizing $1,003,000 loan and $2,314,000 grant and Providing for the Incurrence of Indebtedness for the purpose of providing improvements to the water transmission & distribution system. The new Reverse Osmosis (RO) treatment system will meet the requirements of TCEQ. Additionally, authorize and empower named officials to take all action necessary or appropriate in the execution of all written instruments as may be required in regard to or as evidence of such loan and grant; and to operate the facility under the terms offered in said grant agreement(s).

Consider and take necessary action on possible Award of Contract for Meter Replacement using State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.

Consider and take necessary action on Resolution authorizing signatures for the Depository/ Authorized Signatories Designation Form for all City of Smyer Fund accounts.

Consider and take necessary action on revising personnel policy manual.
