The City of Levelland has named Kelly Hancock as the new Main Street Program Manager.
“We are excited about the talents Kelly brings to the table,” said City Manager James Fisher. “Her knowledge of and dedication to this community will be a huge asset for our team as we strive to exceed the expectations of the community and to make Levelland the South Plains community of choice.”
Hancock brings a wealth of knowledge about the community. She joins the City of Levelland after having served almost five years as the Keep Levelland Beautiful coordinator.
During her time with Keep Levelland Beautiful, she was instrumental in the local group earning many statewide awards including the 2020 Governor’s Community Achievement Award. Under Hancock’s leadership, Keep Levelland Beautiful was a five-time recipient of the Gold Star Affiliate Award.
Having an extensive background in working with volunteers, Hancock coordinated local community clean-ups, assisted with a variety of Chamber of Commerce events, and welcomed events and guests to Levelland.
The duties of the Main Street Manager include overseeing downtown revitalization efforts, coordinating downtown events, and working with and promoting downtown businesses.
Hancock is thrilled to join the City team. “I look forward to continuing to work with the Chamber of Commerce and our businesses to promote Levelland,” she said. “I believe an energetic downtown creates a thriving environment for businesses and residents.”
Former Main Street Manager, Tania Moody, vacated that position in June to take a position with Texas Downtown.
