...Unwrap it!...

‘Peace I leave with you; My perfect peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.’ John 14:27 (AMP).

Each one of us who has responded to the call of Jesus in our lives has received the gift of peace. He is the ultimate peacemaker and has created enough peace for us all to share.

Acknowledge and accept His offering. Unwrap it, understand it, utilise it! Place it in the safest place of your heart. Don’t leave it in a drawer or on a shelf gathering dust.

Christ wants us to live an abundant life free from the cacophony of chaos and calamity. He wants our spirit to be in serene harmony with His.

Earthly wisdom would have us hunt for an imagined tranquillity; a superficial oasis of calm. Don’t buy into this false and fragile serenity that can get broken at the slightest touch.

Keep the peace that Jesus has given you. Keep it real, keep it relevant and keep it ready. Treasure the quality of life it offers; keep His stillness as your constant companion.

Every time you feel you have lost your peace consider this. You don’t need a rest to find it, nor a spiritual retreat to discover it. You already have it. What are you waiting for?

Enter into the state of peacefulness that God desires for you. If the enemy has temporarily robbed it from you, then put on the armour of God and take it back.

It belongs to you.

Put the Prince of peace in His rightful place at the centre of your life and accept His abundant blessings because they came at a price. A price He willingly paid.

Everything! His gift of life and peace cost him everything. He suffered the weight of the world’s sin and defeated death for your freedom and peace. Don’t waste His sacrifice.

Remember it is yours for the using. Don’t forget about it. Don’t lose it. Don’t discard it. Be the best keeper of our peacemaker’s peace that you can possibly be. Be a peacekeeper!
