Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has distributed $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for September, which is a 6.3% increase from September 2023’s total allocations.
The distribution was outlined in a Sep. 11 press release from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
Cities received $730.7 million in allocations for a 6.3% increase from September 2023. It is a 2.1% year-to-date increase.
Transit systems received $238.5 million in allocations for a 5.8% increase from September 2023. It is a 1.6% year-to-date increase.
Counties received $70.9 million in allocations for a 7.8% increase from September 2023. It is a 1.8% year-to-date increase.
Special purpose districts received $109.3 million in allocations for a 6.3% increase from September 2023. It is a 4.6% year-to-date increase.
September’s total payments for Hockley and Cochran County cities were outlined in the Monthly Sales Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports.
The total payment to Levelland was $441,575.14, a 16.65% increase from last September’s $378,525.34 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Levelland was about $3.685 million, a 1.70% decrease from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of about $3.749 million.
The total payment to Anton was $8,518.12, a 2.08% increase from last September’s $8,344.39 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Anton was $83,379.86, a 2.70% increase from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $81,185.73.
The total payment to Opdyke West was $349.87, a 1.40% increase from last September’s $345.03 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Opdyke West was $4,259.74, a 24.27% increase from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $3,427.80.
The total payment to Ropesville was $12,504.26, a 2.03% increase from last September’s $12,255.45 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Ropesville was $105,440.40, a .19% decrease from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $105,642.62.
The total payment to Smyer was $7,102.58, a 30.17% increase from last September’s $5,456.17 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Smyer was $56,379.65, a 17.78% increase from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $47,867.43.
The total payment to Sundown was $37,546.49, an 18.19% increase from last September’s $31,765.87 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Sundown was $325,892.42, a 19.55% decrease from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $405,108.37.
The total payment to Morton was $10,953.38, a 19.45% decrease from last September’s $13,599.60 payment.
The year-to-date payment to Morton was $114,900.36, a 5.42% decrease from the September 2023 year-to-date payment of $121,497.47.
The total payment to Whiteface was $3,251.01, a 4.77% decrease from last September’s $3,414.06 payment. The year-to-date payment to Whiteface was $28,445.22, an 8.31% increase from the September 2023 year-todate payment of $26,261.74.
