Sundown Roughneck Theatre presents 'The Brightest Thing (or the Squonk Play)' by Don Zolidis this weekend. The play is a new American fable that is tinged with sadness.
A young girl goes on an imaginary journey in a hot air balloon to rescue her mother. Along the way she encounters some very interesting real and notso real characters that teach her important life lessons.
Show times are Saturday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sundown High School auditorium at 700 School St. in Sundown.
Tickets are $5.00 for all ages 5 and older. Ages 4 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the box office or online at https:// sundownisd.revtrak.net/oap/#/ list. There will be a concession stand available. You may also purchase a 'Show Star' to send a message of encouragement to cast and crew or a flower to honor your favorite performer.
