...Ministering spirits...

One day, as I got into my car, I felt a holy presence. I knew it was the Holy Spirit. As I drove, the feeling intensified, and then I saw them: two angels sitting on the hood of my car. They appeared as flames of orange and yellow fire, facing me as though they were enjoying the ride.

Hebrews 1:7 came to mind: 'Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.'

The glory, peace, and joy I felt were overwhelming. It was as though I was surrounded by a bubble of holiness. I knew these angels were there to protect me from harm.

Now, I make it a habit to pray for angelic protection every time I get into my car. Even when I don’t see them, I can sense their presence.

Occasionally, God opens a window for us to glimpse these heavenly beings when we need encouragement the most. Their role is a testament to His love, protection, and the divine assistance available to believers as they navigate life.

Once, during a particularly stressful time, I saw two angels sitting atop a bookcase in the bookstore I owned and managed. God allowed me to see them to remind me of His care, comfort, and protection.

Hebrews 1:14 reassures us: 'Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?'

These divine helpers are moved when they hear God's Word and act according to His will.

Angels minister in many ways:

• Protection: They shield us from danger and fight off unseen enemies.

• Comfort: They bring peace during times of distress.

• Guidance: They warn us, direct our steps, and encourage obedience to God’s will.

Angels can communicate with us in subtle ways. Sometimes, they prompt us with instructions such as 'Stay here,' 'Go there,' or 'Call someone.' Once, I heard an angelic voice say, 'Rest.' Foolishly, I ignored it and became sick. That experience taught me to obey when I hear such guidance.

Have you ever felt or seen the work of angels in your life? Their ministry is a profound gift from God to protect us from harm as they help us in our journey of faith.
