DAVID A. CAMPBELL
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David A. Campbell, 77, of Levelland, Texas on July 22, 2026.
Born on April 12, 1949, in Borger, Texas. Dave was the son of JH Campbell, Jr and Flora Brock. He grew up in Levelland and lived a life defined by faith.
Dave dedicated many years in the oilfield and built his own business. Outside of work, he enjoyed roping, and spending time with his family.
Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength, willingness to help others and unwavering faith. His love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette; son, Reid (Mecole); grandson, Morgan; daughter, Kili (Scott) and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by father, JH Campbell, Jr; mother, Flora Brock; stepfather, Sam Langford and brother, Eddie Langford.
A private burial was held Friday and on Sunday, July 26,2026 a Celebration of Life was held from 12-2PM at Fifth Street Baptist Church in the Buddy Ellison building. The family invites anyone to attend and share their stories.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for a donation made In Dave’s name to Fifth Street Baptist Church.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love, wisdom, and example will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
