Graveside services held for Patty “Nita” Hinz

PATTYHINZ

Patty Juanita Hinz, 94, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2026 in Lubbock, TX. Nita was born on Dec. 6, 1931 in Winters, Texas to Farill and Romye Brown, local farmers.

Her younger years were spent in Winters and around Littlefield, Texas. She met and married the love of her life, Harvie Faircloth on Dec. 14, 1947 in Wingate, Texas. Around 1949 they moved to Levelland, where their only son, Randall Terry Faircloth, was born in 1952.

Nita was a homemaker for many years. later she worked for Furr's Supermarket, Levelland ISD and for 25 years as a caregiver through Senior Companions. There she met and formed many close friendships with her co-workers and clients.

Harvie passed away in 1986 and Nita began a journey she never imagined she would have to take, but she faced it with courage, determination, and hard work, making a successful life for herself. She met and married Freddie Hinz years later. He preceded her in death in 2010.

Nita enjoyed traveling, working in her yard, having pretty flowers, especially red geraniums. She was an immaculate housekeeper and detailed planner. Her greatest joy was her family.

She is the last of her four siblings, Leon Brown, Virginia Cole, and Bob Brown. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her niece Pat Teague.

Nita is survived by her son Randall of Tye, Texas; grandson Roger Klitsch of Marion, North Carolina; a great-grandson Patrick Ryan of New Orleans, Louisiana; and a niece, Vickie Cox of Hobbs, New Mexico; many other nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ginger Faircloth of Abilene, Texas.

Nita's graveside services were held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the City of Levelland Cemetery, at 1512 Avenue H, officiated by Ruby Moultrie, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Levelland, where Nita was a charter member.
