JO BANNING
Graveside service for Jo Banning, age 94, of Morton, Texas, is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, Aug. 10, 2026 at Morton Memorial Cemetery with Joey Pierce of Levelland, Texas officiating. Jo died Sunday, Aug. 2, in Levelland. She was born Apr. 20, 1932 to William Jennings and Veda (Summers) Brock. She married Kenneth Banning in Tucson, Arizona on Dec. 10, 1951.
Jo was a devoted grandmother and loved to cook and play bingo. She took pride in her clean home and always kept a great yard. Joe enjoyed crossword puzzles and floating the lake. She was an avid Elvis fan as well. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Morton.
She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kenneth Ray Banning Jr; a daughter, Carla Jo Banning and her ex-husband, Gery Franklin; her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law, Sid Love.
Jo is survived by her son, Larry Banning and his wife, Doris of Morton, Texas; a daughter, Cindy Love of Morton, Texas; and her seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
