A memorial service for Michael Scott Lee Zapata, 21, of Levelland, was held at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 17, at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Sergio Vidales officiating.
He passed away September 13,2022, in Pecos.
Michael was born June 11, 2001, to Leroy Zapata and Elizabeth Aragon, in Levelland.
He is a graduate of Levelland High School Class of 2019.
Michael worked for Walmart and in the oil field before becoming a lineman for Tri Power Energy Services and Gabrielson Management in Midland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Zapata; and a sister, Monica Vargas.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Aragon Vargas; and sister, Chlarissa (Adrian) Vargas Vela, all of Levelland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
