PATSYMETHVIN Patsy Methvin, 91, went home to her heavenly Father October 23, 2022, at her home in Levelland. Visitation was held Tuesday evening, October 25, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home. Her services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, at First United Methodist. Interment followed in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Patsy was born to Weldon and Laura Marcom in West, Texas, February 27, 1931. The family moved to Levelland soon after where Patsy spent most of the rest of her life.
She married the love of her life, Bill Methvin, June 6, 1948, after graduating from Levelland High School. They were married for 67 years before he preceded her in death in 2015. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and great-greatgrandmother.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was President of Methodist Women.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Laura Marcom; husband, Bill Methvin; a daughter, Karen; and a grandson, Brian Sellers.
She is survived by her brother, Dr. George (Karlee) Marcom of League City; sister, Marilyn (Richard) of Pearland; daughters, Laurie (Nick) Williams of Levelland and Rosanne Davis of Dallas; sons, Greg (Toni) Methvin and Kevin (Sharla) Methvin, all of Levelland; granddaughters: Selena Woodall of Aransas Pass, Ashley Wood of New York, Natalie (Mark) Bier of Dallas, Sommer (Korey) Coats of Levelland, Erin (Taylor) Potts of Midland, Audra Methvin of Dallas, Aleece (Dylan) Harvey of Austin and Arianna (Dillon) Welch of Seminole; grandsons, Greg (Christine) Wood of Dallas and Levi Methvin of Austin; step-granddaughter, Nicole (Eddie) Holliman of Victoria; stepgrandsons, Jason (Elle) Davis of Comanche and Tyson (Ellen) Williams of Durango; 15 greatgrandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; several brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
