Levelland competes at Seminole Track Meet

The Levelland Track and Field team competed at the Seminole Tribe Relays this past Tuesday where the athletes represented Levelland well.

Saul Hernandez of the Levelland Boys placed four place in the 800 Meter run with a time of 2:06 as a freshman. For the girls side of the 800 Meter run it would be Mia Morin that finished in fifth place with a 2:50 time and Ariani Lopez in seventh with a time of 2:52.

In the Boys 1600 Meter run two Lobos finished in top three as Saul Vargas finished in second with a time of 4:53.49 and Ryan Jeanneret finished in third with a time of 4:53.77.

In the 3200 Meter run for the Boys it was again Jeanneret that finished in third place with a time of 10:45.95. On the girls side of the 3200 Meter race three Loboettes would finish in the top eight runners, Evelyn Mendias finished in second place with a time of 13:23.05, Ariani Lopez finished in sixth with a time of 14:02.74 and Avani Lopez finished in seventh with her time at 14:02.79.

In the 100 Meter girls hurdles Karina Lara of Levelland would finish in sixth place with a time of 18.02.

For the Boys 300 Meter hurdle it was Eryk Jones that would finish in sixth for Levelland with a time of 45.56.

The 4x100 relay team for the boys finished in fourth team as Gage Potter, Francisco Banda, Ezekiel Arias and Josh Diaz ran a 46.39. On the girls side of the 4x100 relay team the Levelland girls placed fifth place with Ally Monge, Whitney Williams, Zanity Sanchez and Emily Ramirez running a combined time of 53.95.

For the boys 4x200 Meter relay the Levelland team placed third place as Potter, Arias, Isaiah Avendano and Josh Diaz all ran a combined time of 1:35.99.

For the field events in shotput it was the Levelland Boys that would take second, third and fourth place in the meet. Zarin Valderas took second with a distance of 40’2, Luis Castellano took third with a distance of 39’7.5 and Austin Ellis took fourth with a distance of 39' 3.5. On the girls side of shotput Emery Smith of the Loboettes would be able to take second place with a distance of 33' 0.

In Discus for the Boys it was Austin Ellis that took third place with a thrown distance of 125' 9 and Caleb Miller taking fifth place with a distance of 117' 0. For the girls Olivia Velardez took second with a thrown distance of 109' 3, Keyleigh Barron taking third with her distance 100' 9 and Alanis Valderas taking seventh with her distance 80' 2.

For Pole Vault it was Levelland that takes first and third place with Eli Randol taking first place with the height of 11' 6, and Saul Hernandez taking third with the height of 10' 6.

To finish off the meet in the mens triple jump Levelland’s Sean Landrum took second place with a distance of 39' 5.75 and Eryk Jones taking third place with a distance of 38' 5.5.

The Boys Varsity team took third place with a score of 95 finishing behind Andrew and Seminole.

On the Girls Varsity team they took fourth place with their score sitting at 52 behind Andrews, Seminole and Denver City.
