Levelland rolls out welcome mat

The fifth ranked Levelland Loboettes rolled out the welcome mat for the 15th ranked Tacosa Lady Rebels Friday.

Tascosa feasted on the Loboettes’ paint defense by dropping 40 points in the paint to knock off Levelland, 61-32.

The Lady Rebels locked up defensively and held Levelland to five points in the first quarter at halftime, the Lady Rebels mantained a double digit lead, 3110.

It was more of the same in the second half.

Despite a big 16 point fourth quarter from Levelland, the Lady Rebels cruised to a 61-32 victory.

Carly Tienda led the Loboettes in scoring with 10 points.

Lelani Sanchez scored eight points, while Ellie Phillips chipped in with four points and Destynii Jones tossed in three. Adrenna Galvin, Laci White and Madison Stafford each had two points,.

Angelica Gonzales made one free-throw.

The loss dropped the Loboettes to 16-3.

Avery Carter carried the work load for Tascosa with 26 points.

The Levelland Lobos dominated at home and picked up a much needed 53-36 win over Denver City Friday.

Six different Lobos scored in the first quarter, and Levelland held a 15-7 lead after one.

By halftime, the Lobos had built a 17 point lead.

In the second half, Levelland out scored Denver City 22-18.

Taeshaun Jones did most of his damage from the free throwline and led the Lobos in scoring with 18 points.

Eryk Jones scored 10 points and Jayden Castillo added seven point. Zameron LeCroy and Jerry Haile each added six points Konner Alexander and Ethan Campos each scored three points.
