Lobos dealt first round exit against Brock

The Levelland Lobos took on the Brock Eagles this past Monday night in Stamford for their Bi-District Round of playoffs where the Lobos fell 64-33.

In the first quarter of action, Levelland was able to keep the game close as they were outscored 13-5, trailing by eight points early on in the game.

For the second quarter of the game it would get out of hand quick as the Lobos allowed 21 points before the halftime break while scoring another five points of their own to make the score 3410.

In the third quarter Brock was able to outscore the Lobos one more times as they went on a 13-6 run to extend their lead to 4716, going into the final quarter of the game.

For the final quarter of the contest, Levelland was able to keep up with the Eagles offense as both team’s scored 17 points to end the game and Levelland ending their season.

Levelland had two leading scorers on the night in Elijah Jordan and Graham Gibbs with eight points a piece. Eryk Jones had seven, Eli Randol had four, Ozzie Solano had three and Bryson Golightly finished with one point.

Levelland shot for 22% from the field while going 19% from behind the three and 50% from the charity stripe.

The Lobos were outrebounded by Brock 34-to-24 and gave the ball up 19 times while forcing another 22 of their own along with two blocks on the night.

The Levelland Lobos end their season with a 16-19 record under First Year Head Basketball Coach Kendall Durrett while they say farewell to Seniors Elijah Jordan, Eryk Jones, Sean Landrum, Gavin French, Jose Muro, Ozzie Solano, Eli Randol and Gage French.
