Four Levelland youth baseball players have been invited to take their skills to the next level on a national stage later this month.
Logan Brown, 10-year-old son of Josh and Haley Brown, and Ian Tucek, nine-year-old son of Trevor and Brieana Tucek, have each been invited to participate in the USSSA National All-State Championship Tournament July 22nd -26th in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
The United State Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) hosts local tournaments throughout the nation, but for this one teams will converge from all over the country for a state vs. state competition for ages 8U14U.
Each player chosen was nominated, evaluated and notified pf their selection to this invitationonly tournament.
Logan will represent Team Texas in the 10U Open Division competing against teams from Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and the USSSA team.
Ian will represent Team Texas in the 9U Open Division competing against teams from Arizona, Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Team USSSA.
Both Logan and Ian will be introduced at the Texas Rangers vs. L.A. Dodgers game on July 23rd Hunner Tomasini, nine-yearold son of Justin and Carina Tomasini, and Nehemiah Saucedo, nine-year-old son of Gabriel and Bianca Saucedo were also invited to represent the 9U Team Texas squad, but were unable to accept the invite.
Hunner will be participating in the USSSA All-American Games July 24th-30th in Melbourne, Florida.
Six regions from across the nation will be represented (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, South, Southwest and West) with two teams per region per age group.
Hunner will be playing for the 9U South team.
