The Elks scored twice in the first quarter and missed a PAT after the first score.
The Roughnecks stopped the two-point conversion on the second score and the quarter ended 12-0, Elks.
Offensive woes continued for Sundown in the second as promising drives were ended by penalties or good defense from Stratford.
The Elks offense scored three times as they found creases in the Sundown defense or broke tackles for large gains.
The Elks converted for two points on all three touchdowms and the halftime score was 36-0 Stratford.
