SPC Cross Country Preview

This past Tuesday at 6:15am, surrounded by only the morning darkness and a gentle breeze, the South Plains Cross Country team hit the trail for their practice in preparation for the upcoming season.
HANDS UP CELEBRATION – The Levelland Loboettes and their Head Coach Jai Madrid celebrate their set win in a match against SA Lakeview this past Tuesday. The Loboettes would go on to sweep them 25-19, 30-28 and 26-24.

Lobos dominate Pecos, 41-21

The Levelland Lobos football team asserted their will on Pecos this past Friday night, winning 41-21 in their home opener.

Week two Football Contest results

Week two of the Levelland News Press 2025 Football Contest has concluded and the results are in.This week’s winner once again came down to a tiebreaker score as two contestants went 16-4 on their matchup picks with only two points separating them.

Lady Eagles soar in doubleheader

The Ropes Lady Eagles soared in their Tuesday night doubleheader, winning 2-1 against Vega and 2-0 against Littlefield.Their set scores in the wins were 25-21, 20-25 and 25-18 against Vega, and 25-20 and 25-21 against Littlefield.

Ellis makes history in Pack’s loss

This past Tuesday the Levelland Highschool Tennis Pack fell short to #12 ranked Lubbock-Cooper Liberty, 16-3, but the final score didn’t tell the full story.

Injuries haunt Lobos in Dalhart loss

The Levelland Lobos officially kicked off their 2025 football season on the road at Dalhart this past Friday, falling short 55-15.The lopsided loss looks rough from an outsider perspective, but if you watched the game, you could see that injuries badly plagued the Lobos all night.

Red Raiders dominate UAPB in opener

Week one of the Levelland News Press Football Contest has concluded and we had over 29 contestants.Although, prize winners will not be determined until the conclusion of the full ten weeks, we will provide updates on who won each week and the week-toweek season leaders.
