Sundown and Whitharral High Schools have teamed up for a production to be held on Oct. 4.
Actors from both schools will be presenting “TRAP” by Stephen Gregg, in two performances at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 'Trap' is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Playscripts.
The play centers around an incomprehensible event that occurs in Levelland, Texas, where every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious - every person but one.
Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of strange events to life, documentarystyle. But as the strands weave together into an increasingly dangerous web, it becomes clear that this phenomenon might not be entirely in the past.
Unnerving, exhilarating, and wildly inventive, the audience will have never walked into anything quite like 'Trap.'
The one-act play casts of Sundown High School and Whitharral High School student actors who have been at work since August to bring this psychological thriller to life. The play is directed by Jonna Evans, Amanda Rodriguez and LaTryle Sehon.
Admission for students is $5 and adults are $10. Tickets for 'Trap' are available at www.wallacetheater.com.
