The Cochran County Local Work Group will be holding a regular meeting February 22, at 8 a.m. in the Cochran County Activity Building.
The meeting will open with group introductions followed by an introduction to the Barker Research Fram from Kerry Sider, hockley county extension agent.
Stephanie Brady and Billy Barron will be discussing the High Plains Underground Water Conservation district one.
NCRS, zone one Program Manager Mark Hall will be giving a CRP overview.
CED of Morton Trina Williams will discuss the FSA.
Russell Martin with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will discuss wildlife in Cochran County.
The importance of native grass seed will be discussed along with an overview of the LWG process and discussion of the health assessment of the area and identifying environmental issues.
To close out the meeting, the group will discuss the next steps.
