In years past, during the third week in September, the Lamb County Ag Center has served as the event location for Lamb County Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting.
However, it is undergoing renovations, and has been closed to the public since July. Therefore, once again, Littlefield ISD is allowing LCEC to use the Wildcat stadium parking lot located at 1102 Stadium Ave.
On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5:30 -7 p.m., Lamb County Electric Cooperative will be hosting its drive-thru annual meeting. LCEC members will enter off East Waylon Jennings Blvd., turn into the north end of Stadium Ave, then proceed into Wildcat Stadium parking lot. LCEC employees will be directing traffic along the route.
Each member will present his or her Texas Coop Power registration card to an LCEC employee at the first station to register. The second station will consist of receiving a giveaway and the third station a boxed meal. If desired, members may take their meals to LCEC’s Willie Room, 2415 Phelps Ave, where seating will be available.
In addition, members will have an opportunity to attend a short business meeting at LCEC’s Willie Room beginning at 7:30 p.m. and get an update on their electric cooperative. The LCEC board of directors, general manager and staff will be available to address any comments or questions.
The business meeting will be broadcast on Facebook live, so members who are not in attendance can watch. Something new this year is the mobile education trailer. It will be on display at LCEC’s parking lot on the northeast corner.
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, all registered LCEC members who attended the drivethru meeting, will have their registration cards put into a drawing for door prizes.
The drawing will be broadcast on Facebook live. A list of all the winners will be posted on LCEC’s Facebook page and on the website at www.lcec.coop.
