The Levelland Noon Lions Club will host its annual “Pancake Supper” Friday, August 25th, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Levelland Middle cafeteria.
Tickets are $6 in advance or $7 at the door, kids five and under eat free.
This event has been held before the first Lobo home football game, longer than any of the current club members can remember. It is one of the signature fundraisers for the Noon Lions Club.
Club President, Andrea Corley said “I am excited that the club has been able to continue this longstanding tradition. What I love most about this event is that it raises money that enables our club to be active and serve our local community in many ways.”
The Levelland Noon Lions Club was established in 1938 and has not only participated in Lions Club International projects but has undertaken a multitude of local projects in that time, donating time and labor for good causes. The Noon Lions Club has donated money to local organizations such as Bill’s Backpacks, The Wallace Theatre, Blessing Boxes, Little Dribblers and more.
“One thing I am especially proud of is the eyeglasses program for school kids,” said Corley. When local school nurses find a student whose family needs assistance getting the student’s eyes checked and glasses purchased, the Noon Lions get a call.”
The local Lions will collaborate with the optometrist to get the child’s eyes evaluated and get that child a pair of glasses.
Money raised at the Pancake Supper will assist the Noon Lions with their charitable endeavors. Call 806-442-1465 for ticket or event information.
