Ministerial Alliance Hosting Chili Fest February, 3

The Levelland Ministerial Alliance is hosting a Free Chili Fest on February 3, for the community.

The Chili Fest is an opportunity for churches in Levelland to come together for a common cause.

Below is some basic information about the Ministerial Alliance to give you a better insight into the orginization The LMA President is Cody Favor-Pastor at First Baptist Church (806-894-3143), Vice-President-Ben Alexander-Pastor of the Holy Temple of God in Christ (806-7164608), Secretary-Lacy McAdams-First Assembly of God Church (806-894-7357), and Cara Phelan Is the treasurer. Interested parties may contact the pastors regarding the Ministerial Alliance.

The Levelland Ministerial Alliance is a non-profit organization that is open to all area churches, and all denominations.

LMA hosts the National Day of Prayer which is held in May. They also host a Community Thanksgiving Worship Service every November.

In addition to these events, LMA provides financial assistance for disadvantaged families in Levelland. Assistance can only be provided one time a year per family. Most assistance goes to water bills and other utilities.

There funding is from local churches, some who donate monthly. They also also receive an annual donation from the R. C. Blair Trust.

The Ministerial Alliance serves clients at the Hockley County Public Assistance Office, located at 811-B Austin St., in the basement of the Hockley County Library.
