On May 9, 2024, Caleb Clausen was honored as a Texas Music Scholar at the Sundown High School Spring Concert.
OBJECTIVE WRITING - LHS shared that UIL's Intercollegiate League Press Conference includes some contests for advisers of student publications every year. One of them was for objective writing, and Ms. Buckner won with her storm chaser story. She says, 'I had just written a story about Araseli Torris for the yearbook, so I sent it in.' Capitol Elementary Gifted and Talented students presented their end-of-year research projects. Third graders learned about broadcasting and video. Second grade students presented their research in pizza box biographies. Fourth grade students presented their study on mosaics.

The program will award monthly winners during the months of May through August for landscaping.Each monthly winner will receive special recognition on the Keep Levelland Beautiful and the Chamber of Commerce website, in the Chamber of Commerce Newsletter and local media outlets.
