Oil inches higher on fuel inventory draws

Crude oil prices moved higher last week , after the Energy Information Administration reported estimated inventory draws across fuels.In crude, the EIA reported a build of 1.4 million barrels for the week to March 1.

SPC student prepares for 2024 Pan-American Rink Hockey Championships

Rink hockey has always been a part of Martin Arevalo’s life, even now as he juggles his dayto- day responsibilities as a South Plains College student. After years of rink hockey training and multiple competitions, Arevalo was selected to display his skills at this year’s Pan-American championships.
ORIENTATION- LHS recently hosted their Annual 8th-Grade Orientation. Principal Dr. Matthew Birdwell started the event off by encouraging students to always do their best and to pay attention at all times. Hockley County SWCD taking orders for windbreaks

Hockley County Soil and Water Conservation District is taking orders for windbreak, shade and fruit trees. The order deadline is March 5, 2024. Residents are encouraged to order early as supplies are limited and will be filled on a first come serve basis.
