LMS 6th-Graders were caught arguing in class. They were challenged by Mrs. Linzee Black with an argumentative project. The students picked a topic they believed in to make an argument over. They had to research their claim and come up with evidence to prove why they were correct.

Students from Levelland ABS hosted a “Hot Cocoa Bar” as their semester project. They studied and planned a business event together and named themselves the “Happy Hot Cocoa Company.” Each student wore their special uniform, took orders, read orders, and fulfilled orders.

The two LHS YELL Officers spoke and informed the Morning Rotarians about their annual YELL Duck Pluck Fundraiser. YELL teaches young students to be better leaders. LHS thanked Grason and Zackary. The Duck Pluck scheduled for May. The Morning Rotarian group purchased 102 Duck Pluck tickets.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 30, Fifth Street Baptist Church will be having a community Easter Egg Hunt for children at the Fifth Street Baptist Park located at 1009 5th St. There will be free food they will have hotdogs, drinks, chips and dessert.

South Plains College’s nationally accredited Associate Degree Nursing (Registered Nurse) program reported its 2023 graduating class of 45 students achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

SPC Groove Day featuring John JR Robinson slated Apr. 6

The South Plains College Commercial Music Department will host its second-annual Groove Day, featuring the world’s most recorded drummer, John JR Robinson.The event will begin at 10 a.m. on April 6 at the Tom T. Hall Production Studio in the Creative Arts Building on campus.
