Several Smyer Bobcats have earned UIL Class 2A-2 Region 1, District 4 All-District honors after last season. All-district honors are not published until after the last team has left the playoffs.
The Bobcats were 1-9. Senior Cody Armes was a first team all-district utility player. Armes had 23 catches for 402 yards and five touchdowns over nine games.
Senior Brayden Wade was a first team all-district offensive lineman.
Senior Kayden Price was a first team all-district punter. He also received honorable mention as an inside linebacker.
Senior Christian Hernandez was a second team all-district tight end. He had 36 catches for 301 yards.
Junior Mattheu Corder was a second team all-district inside linebacker. Over only four games, he had 23 tackles and 10 assists.
Honorable mention went to senior quarterback Peyton Casillas, senior running back Preston Moore, senior offensive linemen Kayden Nelson and Jayden Martinez, senior inside linebacker Gavin St. Clair, junior wide receiver Rylan Smith, junior defensive lineman Dylan McPhail and freshman defensive lineman Alex White and sophomore cornerback Skyler Pond.
Academic all-district performers included; Armes, Casillas, Corder, junior Richard Leary, junior Aiden Martinez, senior Brodie Medart, freshman Mason Medart, Moore, Nelson, junior Isaiah Paez, Pond, Price, sophomore Sebastian Rodriguez, Smith, St. Clair, Wade and White.
