City council approves resolutions, ordinances

The Levelland city council held its regular meeting this past Monday to consider and approve event applications, temporary road closures for two events, agreements, resolutions and hear a swimming pool assessment.

ACOs designated as first responders

Texas Animal Control Officers (ACO) are now considered first responders alongside police officers, firefighters, and other emergency personnel and fall under the state’s “Move Over/Slow Down” law.

Texas is building dozens of massive data centers, putting more pressure on an increasingly urgent water crisis. The state currently has more than 400 data center facilities, with about 70 more on the way.
CELEBRATE FREEDOM WEEK-- Capitol Elementary students wrapped up Celebrate Freedom Week last week in the library with Mrs. Alexander. Students read a variety of books, wrote poems, discussed what they value about their freedom, what freedom means to them, watched a podcast of a book about our Founding Fathers, and learned a song and poem about the Preamble to the Constitution. Eli Lilly to build new facility in Texas
