Annual Thunder on the Plains brings car community together

The 19th annual Thunder on the Plains Car Show will roll into the Levelland City Park on August 15 and 16.The weekend will kick off Friday night at the South Plains Best Western. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m.Vehicle owners can register for the poker run for $10 and the car show for $25.

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a reported engine fire in a field located near Fisher Road and Alaska Road Monday morning around 10:30 a.m.

State sales tax revenue totaled $4.2 billion in July

(AUSTIN) — Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock has announced state sales tax revenue totaled $4.19 billion in July, 4.9 percent more than in July 2024.The majority of July sales tax revenue is based on sales made in June and remitted to the agency in July.
