Catalytic converter stamping service available July 19

The Levelland Police Department (LPD) is raising awareness for catalytic converter theft that has been increasing across Texas.To help community members take precautionary measures, a free catalytic converter stamping event will be held Saturday, July 19, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott signed House Joint Resolution 1, House Bill 9, House Bill 346, House Bill 2464, and House Bill 5195 into law to support Texas' small businesses while virtually attending the Houston Regional Business Coalition luncheon.

AUSTIN – Texans will soon experience a more streamlined process for receiving metal license plates when they purchase a car from a dealer, thanks to a new state law.

City of Levelland May building permit numbers

A total of 189 building permits have been issued by the City of Levelland totaling roughly $8.4 million while 52 permits were issued during May totaling $2.4 million.Four single-family permits have been issued this year for a total of $825,000.

6/6/25 – 11 A.M. – LEVELLANDThe LFD responded to the 300 block of Dogwood after a report from a residential caregiver who stated they observed sparks coming from the oven. The responding crew located and turned off the electrical breaker to the oven.
