Whiteface Consolidated Independent School District will be implementing CEP under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for School Year 2026-27. Under CEP, all students receive breakfast and lunch at no charge.This year household do not need to submit an application.

Texas cuts childcare subsidy program

The Texas Workforce Commission Tuesday voted to cut 9.5% of the state’s childcare scholarships, which represents approximately 14,000 seats for children. For some regions, those cuts will begin by the fourth quarter of 2026, which begins in September.

THOA recognized her dedication to Health Science Education through her own professional growth, the leadership she develops in her students, the career opportunities she creates, her mentorship of fellow educators, and her involvement in the community.

As students return to school, many are thinking about schedules, homework and seeing their friends. Others are thinking about how they will eat. The South Plains College food pantry is working to reduce food insecurity by providing college students with the resources they need.
LISD ABC - Getting the new school off to a good start, Levelland ABC hosted its Back to School Night and it was a circus. The ABC kids found a ring master, a lion tamer, acrobats, tightrope walkers and much more. Parents and students had the opportunity to get to know teachers and staff and help acclimate the new young students to a new chapter in their lives. School be in full swing at all LISD campuses this coming week. (LISD photo)
