Texas Senate approves proposal focusing on teacher raises

The Texas Senate approved priority school funding legislation Wednesday that would provide pay raises to teachers based on years of experience, expand a state program that offers raises to instructors based on student performance and allow educators to enroll their children in pre-K free of charge.

Measles cases hit triple digits in West Texas, one confirmed death

The number of measles cases has risen to 124 in West Texas and Lubbock Health Officials have confirmed the death of an unvaccinated school-aged child at a Lubbock hospital.For the first time in the United States since 2015, a death attributed to measles has been reported.
