With all phases of the new parking lot project complete, the county hopes community members utilize the space while visiting downtown.What started in May of 2023, the Hockley County Judge and Commissioners realized the need for additional parking downtown and went to work on finding a solution.

PUCT workshop finalizes electric reliability plan

On Thursday, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) hosted a public workshop on finalizing the electric reliability plan for the Permian Basin.The PUCT instructed the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to develop a reliability plan for the region in December 2023.
