Cotton futures begin slow dip

March futures dipped back below the 80.00 cent per pound mark last Friday and stayed below that level for the rest of the trading week. A lack of news on the cotton front kept prices trading on both sides of the market, with Tuesday being the only day prices settled to the upside.

The 286th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is pleased to announce they are the recipient of a substantial supplemental grant aimed at alleviating the impending financial burden associated with the capital murder trial of Omar Soto-Chavira. This supplementary grant, totaling $733,328.

One arrested, one death following domestic call

According to the Levelland Police Department, a death occurred Saturday morning following a domestic disturbance call. Levelland Police Chief Albert Garcia stated that officers received a call referencing a domestic type call in a residence located in the 1800 block of Houston Street around 1:40 a.
