The Labor Day holiday has come and gone and I hope everyone was able to enjoy their weekend and be well rested. With college football in fullswing this past weekend I had a field day with my eyes glued to the TV.

9/2/2023 - DISPATCHED 3:35 P.M. - CLEARED 3:43 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a call in reference to a nine-month-old child locked in a running vehicle at a residence located in the 800 block of Avenue C. Dispatch also notified Bush Wrecker Service.

Police Report

9/4/2023 - 200 block of Pecan Street - 7:06 P.M. An officer with the LPD was dispatched to a residence within the area in reference to criminal mischief. A report was taken as a result. 9/4/2023 - 1300 block of Avenue H - 3:06 P.M.

Breakfast Rotary pancake breakfast tickets on sale

The Levelland Breakfast Rotary Club will host its annual pancake breakfast that will begin the day’s activities for the third annual Cotton & Crude Festival Sept. 23 in downtown Levelland.

Texas drought affecting corn, sorghum crops
