KLB, TxDOT sets landscape project plans

The Texas Department of Transportation is set to begin work on a project that will enhance the landscape at the southeast corner of US 385 and FM 300 in Levelland. The $120,496 project is partially funded through the Keep Texas Beautiful or KLB Governor’s Community Achievement Award.

Friday evening during the Thunder on the Plains cruise event, Steve and Maria Hernandez were awarded for one of the best rides on the cruise. There where many cars participating in the event and did not end until 9:30 p.m.

COMMUNITY CRUISE

Community members were in attendence watching all sorts of vehicles cruise in downtown Levelland Friday evening. The cruise signified the first event for the annual Thunder on the Plains weekend.

CRUISING IN STYLE

The Thunder on the Plains 17th Annual Car Show began started Friday with their annual cruise and Poker Run event. As the show cars and trucks cruised around town they had a chance to win a trophy for best car on the cruise.
