Voices Coalition backpack giveaway Saturday, Aug. 5

The Hockley County (Voices Coalition) Back - to - school Backpack Give away has been set for Saturday, August 5th 10 a.m.12:00 p.m. at Capitol Elementary, 401 Ellis Street. The backpacks will be distributed in the drive-through in front of the school.

SPC hosts ‘The Book of Will’

South Plains College Theatre will present 'The Book of Will' July 27–29 in the Helen DeVitt Jones Theatre. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (July 27), Friday (July 28) and Saturday (July 29). Tickets cost $30 for general admission; $25 for senior admission; and $15 for student admission.

With “New Beginnings,” invite God! As students begin a new year at school, I have to just imagine what must be going through their minds. The seniors are applauding as they begin this final year in public school, and many might already have college hours to start their next “New Beginnings”.
