The Whiteface Lady Lopes took on the Iraan Lady Braves this past Monday night for their Bi-District matchup at Andrews High School where the Lady Lopes handled business and won 78-14.
The start of the game started off great for the Lady Lopes as they held Iraan scoreless while putting up 21 points, making the score 21-0 heading into the second quarter.
For the second quarter of the game, Whiteface had their highest scoring quarter as they outscored Iraan 27-5, extending their lead 485, heading into the halftime break.
Leading the Lady Lopes in scoring at the halftime break was Hannah Blankenship with 17 points, 11 of them coming from the first quarter of play.
In the third quarter of the game though, Whiteface was back on track where they left off after they outscored the Lady Braves 20-4, making the score 689 heading into the final quarter of the game.
For the last quarter of the game, Whiteface put the game away and took the Bi-District playoff win to move onto the Area Round of playoffs.
Hannah Blankenship led Whiteface in scoring on the night with 29 points in the game. Jaedyn Rector had another 13 points, Emma Blankenship had 11, Lainey Sanders, Kambry Sanders and Tymmyah Olenga all finished with seven points a piece and Anais Soliz finished with four points on the night.
The Whiteface Lady Lopes improve to 32-2 on the season as they get ready to take on the Christoval Lady Cougars this Thursday at Lamesa High School at 6:30 p.m.
