Sundown City Council to meet June 16

The Sundown city council will be holding its regular meeting on June 16..

Council members are expected to receive reports from the library, police department, fire department and city hall.

The council is also expected to have discussions concerning the 2025-2026 budget, agenda posting and other updates. Action items on the agenda include considering and taking action to elect a Mayor Pro Tem and appointing members and alternates to Building Standards.

Additionally, the council will consider a request from Roland Rodriguez to purchase East 30” of Lot 80 in Sunset Sundown and another request for funds for the library from Voluntary Parks Fund. The city administrator is on the agenda to present reports on the street sweeper, TCGJunk vehicles and dangerous buildings, cleanup day/week and a thank you to the city of Levelland for a donation of bleachers. The meeting will be held at city hall beginning at 5:30 p.m.
