The City of Smyer Aldermen will be holding a special meeting on June 22 at the Smyer Senior Citizen’s Building.
Aldermen are expected to take necessary action on building permits and approve the financial report from June 9.
A discussion is on the agenda regarding the Smyer Volunteer Fire Department. Aldermen are expected to consider and take any necessary action on resolution, application filing and authorized representative resolution, application affidavit and application resolution - certificate of secretary, adopting the Texas Water Development Board's (TWDB) Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant Program (WSIG).
There is also a budget work session scheduled for fiscal year October 2026September 2027, and a discussion set to consider proposed utility rate increases.
