The Smyer Lady Cats volleyball team made easy work of the Ira Bulldogs last Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Smyer’s game got stronger as the match went on, holding Ira to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 2510.
Emma Vonberg paced Smyer’s offense, picking up three kills. Vonberg got some help from Rylee Cooper and her four assists. Cooper was also solid from the service line leading the team with four aces.
The Smyer team lost their Wellman-Union High School match by a score of 0-3. The final set scores were 250, 25-0, 25-0.
