Morton defeats Munday, 38-14

The Morton Indian varsity football team went on the road last Friday night, taking a 3814 win from the Munday Moguls in UIL 11-man high school football action.

The Indians racked up 395 yards, all on the ground, enroute to the win.

Junior Alex Lopez went 0-for-4 passing with an interception, but made up for it on the ground with 15 carries for 176 yards and three touchdowns.

Sophomore Christian Enriquez had nine carries for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Senior Xavier Ramon had nine carries for 55 yards.

Sophomore Andreas Bejarano had four carries for 30 yards and an interception for a 90 yard touchdown. Freshman E.J. Rivas had three carries for 15 yards and Sophomore Dante Chavez had a single carry for two yards. The Indians are now 2-1 and travel to Boys’ Ranch, also 21, on Friday for a 7 p.m. game.
