SPC Athletic Department sets annual golf scrammble

The South Plains College Athletic Department is set to host its annual Dennis Patton Texan Club Golf Scramble at the Levelland Country Club on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1st and 2nd.

The tournament features a two-person scramble with tee times at 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Players will have the opportunity to win special prizes, such as closest to the pin, hole in one, etc. Saturday night will feature a steak and chicken dinner for each player and a guest of their choosing, and prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each flight, along with tee gifts for each player. The entry fee is $250 per team, and there will be many sponsorship opportunities available. Players can register at the Levelland Country Club or can call Chad Davis at 894-3288. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the South Plains College Texan Club!

The Levelland Country Golf Course is a nine-hole course that opened in 1946.

The golf course is open year round. The course offers three different tee off distances.

The blue and white tips are measured at 6,248 yards while the gold tips are measured at 5,528 yards. The red tips are measured at 5,407 yards.
