Notching a pair of top 10 finishes over the weekend for the South Plains College men’s rodeo team, Brey Yore was tabbed the Men’s All-Around Champion of the Vernon College Rodeo. Yore posted a second place finish in tiedown roping, clocking a 9.4 in the long round and an 8.9 in the finals, capping the event with an 18.3 average and 130 for South Plains. Yore would add another 105 points to his total in steer wrestling, running a 4.7 in the long round and a 4.8 in the finals to finish with a 9.5 average, good enough for third overall.
Yore will be back in the arena next weekend when the South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams compete at the Texas Tech University Rodeo on October 27-29 at Cook’s Garage in Lubbock.
