Funeral services for Albert Torrez, 62, of Sundown, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 21, at Iglesias De Fe, with Pastor Eddie Chavarria officiating.
Internment will be held at a later date, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
Visitation was held Sunday, November 20, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.
He passed away November 17, 2022, in Lubbock.
Albert was born July 16, 1960, to Jose Jr. and Eluteria Riojas Torrez, in Brownfield.
He graduated from Whitharral High School Class of ‘79.
Albert worked in the oil field for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Torrez, Jr. and a brother, Rudy Torrez.
He is survived by his companion of 17 years, Geneva Waltors of Alamogordo, New Mexico; mother, Eluteria Riojas Torrez of Sundown; daughters: Roxanne (Adam) Rodriguez of San Marcos, Traci (Daniel) Villegas of Lubbock and Tiffany (Jaime) Olivares of Levelland; sons: Jeremy ( Rita) Torrez of San Marcos, Tim ( Amanda ) Villegas of Whiteface, Fidel (Danielle) Perez of Levelland and Leonard (Michelle) Perez of Lubbock; brother, Randy Torrez of Lubbock; sister, Alma Torrez Cortez of Levelland; five grandchildren: Andrew Torrez, Zachary Rivera, Dominic Rodriguez, Giuliana Torrez and Layla Rodriguez; three great-grandchildren; and 23 stepgrandchildren.
