White bass are good around the birds and bait balls in 30-70 feet of water. Catfish are fair on cheese bait, and cut shad in 30-60 feet of water. Tight lines. GOOD. Water stained; 51 degrees; 0.33 feet below pool. The bite has really turned on after the cold front last week. Catfish are good in 25-30 feet of open water with punch bait. Crappie are good with live minnows or chartreuse jigs in 25-30 feet of water over brush piles. White bass are good mixed in with the crappie and over rock boulders using whiter jugging spoons. Crappies are slow but minnows are still the ticket. White bass are fair on minnows, and jigheads with a curly tailed grub. Trout are good on power baits, worms, small spinners and flies. GOOD. Water lightly stained, 47-50 degrees; 5.91 feet below pool. Striper fishing is amazing, especially using live shad. Fish are scattered across large areas in 20-40 feet of water. Deadsticking is also producing fish using white and chartreuse soft plastics. Sand bass are also amazing in 20-30 feet of water on small live shad, but some fish can also be caught using small white and chartreuse jigs and flukes. Catfish are fair out deeper than usual in 10-20 feet of water biting on small cut shad or Buffalo. Water clarity is 2 feet on the north end of the lake to 8 feet on the south end of the lake.
