A Community Wide Clean-Up and Recycling Round-Up has been scheduled for Saturday, April 1, according to Keep Levelland Beautiful.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. that Saturday in the north parking lot of Best Western Inn and Suites at 204 North College.
Breakfast will be provided and vests, trash bags and pickers will be available.
The clean-up will be sponsored by Keep Levelland Beautiful, the City of Levelland, Don’t Mess With Texas Trash Off, United Supermarkets and Republic Services.
Electronics recycling will be conducted in conjunction with the clean-up. The recycling opportunity will also begin at 9 a.m. at the Levelland Chamber of Commerce office at 1101 Avenue H.
Electronics will be accepted until the truck is full. All types of electronics will be accepted. A list of items to be accepted is available at www.levelland.com/ recycling.
The City of Levelland’s recycling trailer will be on-site for additional recylcing of such items as cardboard.
The electronic recycling opportunity will be sponsored by the Hockley County Endowment and the Our Texas Our Future HED initiative.
