Funeral services for Rosa Garcia, 90 of Levelland, will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Sergio Vidales will be officiating. A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Chapel in Levelland. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland.
Rosa was born to Rumaldo and Felicita Villasenor Tienda on September 1, 1932 in Lexington, Texas.
She married Roque Gomez Garcia on October 1, 1951 in Cameron, Texas and they moved to Levelland in 1955. Rosa was a homemaker and enjoyed watching her “Novellas” She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and will be missed by her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rumaldo and Felicita Villasenor Tienda, two sons John Garcia and Roque Garcia and thirteen siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Maria Garcia (Roberto Laguna) of Levelland, sons Manuel (Martha) Garcia, and Danny Garcia both of Levelland, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
