Funeral services set for Jesusa Rincones

JESUSA RINCONES

Jesusa Castro Rincones, age 92, of Smyer, Texas, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 27, 2026. She was born on March 16, 1934, in Karnes City, Texas, and lived a life defined by faith, love, hard work, and devotion to her family.

Jesusa was a woman of remarkable strength and determination. She pursued her education at South Plains College, where she earned her nursing certification. Through her work and service to others, she touched many lives with her compassion and caring heart.

Family was the center of Jesusa's life. She shared a strong and cherished bond with her siblings, growing up among a large family of eight brothers and seven sisters. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Alejandro Rincones, with whom she built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories.

Jesusa was the proud and loving mother of nine children, including three daughters and six sons. Her legacy continued to grow through her 28 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

A woman of deep faith, Jesusa loved Jesus with all her heart and lived her life guided by His teachings. She found happiness in the simple blessings of life. She loved tending to her plants, making delicious tamales for family and friends, and relaxing while watching her favorite telenovelas. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter and the comforting presence of a woman whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Jesusa will be remembered for her hard-working spirit, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she poured into every member of her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and the countless lives she touched.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and carry forward the values of faith, love, strength, and family that she modeled throughout her life.

Funeral Services will take place at Krestridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2,2026 beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
