Funeral services for Elias Rede Acosta, 72 were held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chaple in Levelland were Pastor Jesse Sanchez officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
Elias was born to Felix and Ysidora Rede Acosta on March 17, 1951 in Bakersfield, California.
He married Maria Elana Diaz on September 17, 1969 they had four children from this union. He worked as a custodian for Levelland ISD for 15 years and was a greeter at Wal-Mart in Levelland. He loved watching Westerns and was a jokester. He also loved spending time with his girlfriend Juanita Mora.
He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Ysidora Rede Acosta.
He is survived by his three daughters Ester (Ruben) Tienda, Commie (Marcos Torres) Acosta, and Andrea (Nathan) Edwards all of Levelland; son Elias (Racheal) Acosta of Sundown; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother.
