The Morton Indians faced off against the Boys Ranch Roughrider’s for their homecoming game last Friday where the unfortunately picked up their first loss of the season losing 12-2, at home The Indians came into the game ready to go as they wanted to solidify the run game and .get the team’s momentum started. Unfortunately for them, Boys Ranch came into the game looking to stop the run after Morton was able to put up almost 500 rushing yards the week before.
It was a hard game for both teams as defenses on both sides didnt let up, but it was a game changer for the Indians when the Roughrider’s started to get in their heads making it an emotional game. The Indians and Roughrider’s defenses were making it hard on the offenses as they were stopped in their tracks on both teams.
The tides of the game changed when the Indians gave up a big play leading to the first touchdown of the game given up from the passing game of Boys Ranch. The Indians held tall not letting the Roughriders get hardly any yards throughout the game but it only took a couple of good plays for the boys to hold the lead they had over Morton for the night.
Unfortunately, the Indians fall to 3-1 on the season ending their undefeated season. The team faced off against Guymond, OK this past Saturday as they went against a team that was going into the game with a record of 3-1 as well. The Guymond Tigers are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Hugoton where they lost 45-26 as the away team.
